Thank You to Sarjesa Inc.

Thank you to Sarjesa Inc. for supporting our documentary!

Sarjesa Inc. is a socially focused tea company based in Treaty 7 territory, homelands of the Niitsitapi (the Siksika, Piikani, Kainai), the Îyârhe Nakoda, the Tsuut’ina Nations, as well as Métis Nation Region 3. Through their tea, Sarjesa Inc. raises awareness for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls (learn more about the beautiful artwork they commissioned from six community artists on their about page). The company sources its tea ingredients directly from farmers and collectives in Canada and abroad, and donates 20% of profits to the Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society, an Indigenous-led women’s shelter.

Additionally, Sarjesa Inc. is engaged in many other activities focused on the empowerment of women and an end to gender-based violence. For the smallest steps, Sarjesa Inc. donated a whole bunch of tea, which we will use to help raise funds for our anti-violence screening partners once we begin our screening tour this Fall!
